Are you sure the solution is pie?

Oh man, after writing a bunch of fest fics and generally being cowed by deadlines in the winter, I swore I wouldn't sign up for anything else for a veritable ice age.

But then kita0610 and lynnenne ended up starting grazieprego, so there's one. glockgal squeed about weasleyfest, and I cannot resist Weasleys or glockgal, so there's two (incidentally, I got my assignment for that fest, and om nom NOM, I got the best request in the history of ever! excellent kink list, unnamed requester!). Then there's the Ron/Draco fest, rd_challenge. I cannot in any state of mind resist Ron/Draco, so yes to that one as well. E.T.A., they've technically closed signups for the RD one, but turns out there's one slot left! Interested? Check it out!

Then. Then! There's a Charlie Weasley prompt-claiming fest. I mean. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HOLD MYSELF BACK FROM THAT? Charlie Weasley, easily the sexiest Weasley (er, as fanon would have it -- and trust me, read some Charlie fic, because hot hot HOT). Plus softly_sweetly is organizing it, and she is insidiously persuasive. Okay. Fine. Obviously that one's a given. Then nathanielhp mentions both Remus and Ron have birthdays in March, so we should all write Remus/Ron fic for that month for remus_ron_slash... *facepalms* Luckily that last one can be a drabble or ficlet, so I am pretty sure I can knock it out of the park.

So. Clearly I don't have enough to write. *coughs* I was thinking of signing up for rarepair_shorts. ( why this actually makes sense to me )

But there's still a problem for me. I mean. Okay. I love rare pairings in HP fandom. And there are a bunch I still want to try, and a grouping I've already tried and would love to post more of, and a number more I've poked at in offline writings I haven't yet shared. The problem here becomes that I don't have a default favorite rare pair reactionary sign-up response, as in saying, "What is the world coming to? I can't believe no one has taken Ernie Macmillan/Voldemort! *rectifies*" Basically, I have a bunch of rare pairings I'm trying to choose between (that the community only lets one writer at a time choose a particular rare pair is helping me narrow my list. Somewhat) and I'm stumped.
