stoney321 listed her five favorite television theme songs, and I was immediately sidetracked into trying to decide on mine. I could not limit myself to five! So ten, ten of my favorite theme songs, in no particular order:
- Futurama -- There's a dance that goes with this. Seriously. Okay, maybe only Mr. Nous and I know it.
- Malcolm in the Middle -- "You're not the boss of me now!" >:( I originally wanted this to be the song I used to walk down the aisle at my wedding, before we changed plans to our actually awesome marriage at Borough Hall in Brooklyn. I may employ it for some later life event. It's kicky, plus TMBG.
- Gary Shandling Show -- "This is the theme to Gary's show! This is the theme to Gary's show! This is the theme that you hear while you watch the credits!"
- Wonderfalls -- "We're bobbing along in our barrrrreellllll!" There's one ep commentary in which the actors sing along, d'awww! (also,
kaygrr is a baby saver :D) - The Love Boat -- come on! -- "Love! Exciting and new! Let it float! It floats back to yooooouuuuuu!" I think the voice was supposed to sound like Doc. Least likely candidate for a casanova ever.
- Barbapapa -- seriously, did I dream this show? "Here is the star it's Barbapapa! Doo do dee dooo! They can change their shapes and sizes! Very easily!"
- The Drew Carey Show -- "all the little chicks with the crimson lips yell Cleveland rocks! Cleveland rocks!" There were some great arcs in this show in the earlier seasons.
- Top Cat -- "the indisputable leader of the gang!" Close friends get to call him T.C., y'all.
- Pepper Ann -- "Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, much too cool for seventh grade; Pepper Ann, she's like one in a millioooooooon!"
- Roseanne -- bluesy awesomeness in the early seasons. plus I just used to love this show so much.
