Someone who currently remains anonymous (but won't be after January 6th and then I can stalk them at their journal and make dolphin noises at them in person) wrote me the most fantastic Snape/Harry, all based on a somewhat unusual prompt I gave. And the writer did such fantastic things with the prompt -- I'm just super lucky to have gotten this gift:

Okay, so not only did the writer fit in pretty much every one of my kinks, but they did so much more than I expected with the scenario and relationship between the principals. Snape is a bit of a bastard throughout, and yet there's suggestion he's possessive of Harry even early on, hinting at potential greater depth for their interactions than just -- well, I don't want to give too much away! Suffice to say that Harry lands himself in a tangle early on, jumps in with feet first (so Harry) as things get more complicated, and takes on all Snape hands to him with stubbornness and an unexpected growing attachment to Snape.

There's some great BDSM treatment in this fic. The way the sexual element comes into the fic (from Harry? from Snape? I'm not being coy here; the ambiguities of what's impulse and what's manipulation are part of what engaged me so about this story), the possibly adaptive reactions Snape has to Harry (is he following Harry's reactions indeed, or guiding the entire way?), the reactions Harry has to the sub role and increasing challenges from it -- I found all of the narrative and erotic developments really intriguing. If you love Snarry and BDSM, you don't want to miss it! Definitely let the mystery author know what you think before reveals on January 6th at Kinky Kristmas!
